MEG/SAM. MEG/SAM SO MUCH, GUYS.

ALSO DEAN WAS SO PRETTY WITH HIS FACE ALL SLASHED UP. I WILL PROBABLY ICON THE SHIT OUT OF THIS EPISODE. GOD, MORE EPISODES WITH DEAN HURT, PLEASE.

ALSO I KIND OF AM A LITTLE BIT IN LOVE WITH MEG. I DON'T WANT HER TO DIE.

ALSO, FIC RECS:

WILDCAT BY [livejournal.com profile] mona1347, DEAN/FAITH/SAM, NC-17. WARNINGS FOR SHAMELESS THREESOME PORN.
Excerpt: They have a system. Dean does the talking. Sam looks harmless and shyly fuckable. It never fails.

Coming Clean by [livejournal.com profile] rillaotvalley, Dean/Jo, NC-17 (more plot than porn though).
Excerpt: “Toss your leg over mine,” he tells her, “to keep that cut outta the water,” which makes sense, but if she does that, she’ll be spread eagle on Dean’s lap in a hot bath without her pants or her dignity.

I never know whether I should rec you guys the filthiest shit or just the, you know, slightly wrong stuff. Of course I haven't read much fic lately so it hasn't mattered, but still. This stuff is only minimally wrong but VERY HOT, as things tend to be in the SPN fandom.

And can anyone point me to meta on understanding Supernatural as an extension of ironic hipster culture // hipster glorification of the working class? I think this may be the best lens through which to view the show (it might make many of the "???" elements make sense) but, uh, I am way too lazy to think about it enough to come up with my own fully-formed theories, so I'd like to read someone else's.

Yeah, I thought class transition could have been playing a part in it too. I don't know much about that though since, well, I just don't. Sounds fascinating though. (I actually think the reason I'm so crap at examining the class issues is because I'm firmly white upper-middle and don't know many people at all who aren't, which doesn't exactly give me a broad base of experience or understanding. Like... I've read books and newspaper articles about the lower classes, but a theoretical understanding =/= a practical one.)
