Ahh, and another thing: In front of the BSG webisodes there were always these ads for Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. Now, when advertisements start playing, I usually switch away to a news tab or read a page in a book, and just listen for when it's over. So I never READ the name of the movie.

Which left me with the impression that the movie was called Rise of the LICHENS. And I kept hearing some guy being like, "Will we be men, or will we be LICHEN!??!?" and I thought it sounded like the stupidest movie ever. I mean, it was about some dudes who wanted to turn into lichen and take over the world? By nefarious use of LICHEN? Didn't seem terribly efficient.

I was never so relieved/disappointed as when I finally realized that word was "lycan."

I had the same reaction! I never watch commercials and only partially pay attention to the voice-overs. So I kept hearing Rise of the Lichens! and I knew that they must mean Lycans (because I'd unfortunately seen the original Underworld movie) but I'd still burst into giggles. I kept flashing on Jack and the Beanstalk versus Dracula.

Ahahaha, I am SO glad I'm not the only person who thought that. I think I saw the first Underworld but I really don't remember much other than Kate Beckinsdale in a ridiculously tight outfit. And hee, that is the sort of hilarious mental image I was having, except I was thinking of vampires versus lichen-covered Ents from Lord of the Rings, hah. It is really just not the best title in the world. They needed to do more focus group testing with that, lol.

I DID EXACTLY THE SAME THING.

And what is the purpose of having the exact same 30-second ad play before all 10 3-minute long pieces?! Especially since I still have no idea what that movie is about. Except that one time when I was switching tabs I think I saw the guy who played Slartibartfast.

Ugh, yes, I wondered that too. Watching the same ad OVER AND OVER AND OVER again did not, in fact, increase my desire to see the movie. I guess now I know the movie EXISTS, but I have an active want to NOT see it, whereas in my ignorance I was merely neutral.

YES GAETA OMG. CANNOT WAIT TO FIND OUT WHAT ALL HE MEANT AT THE END.

Oh, and whether I'm better OR NOT, at least one other friend and I are getting together to watch the new episode of BSG on Friday, and possibly much of the ZILLION HOUR LONG marathon of the first half of the fourth season before that. So you're welcome to come to that if you want.

That sounds AWESOME! I would love to come. Because we only have one car now, though, I could basically only get a ride at 6 PM. If that's not a good time, or if I couldn't get a ride from you at a different time, I think I could bike over. Let me know which is best for you!

Well, we're starting at, like, 11 am (I KNOW) because Chris hasn't seen the first ten episodes of the fourth season AND doesn't have cable tv AND for some reason cannot just download or rent them like a normal person. So if you would like to come that early, I could pick you up on my way over there, or you could come later (it's possible I could pick you up later, but idk because idk if I'll be feeling well enough to drive), whatever you want. You may want to bring snacks though because, umm, TERRIBLY LARGE AMOUNTS OF TV.
