Minor rant prompted by one of [livejournal.com profile] 30toseoul's posts:

How can over half the class fail an OPEN-NOTE quiz?

It wasn't even one of those open-note quizzes that made you interpret things. It was straightforward were-you-paying-attention-in-lecture and did-you-read-the-assigned-book stuff. WHAT THE HELL. It seriously wasn't that hard.

Arrrgh, stupidity.

... this does not surprise me. I am well aware that the muppets do not read/do homework on a regular basis. Them failing an open book exam. See me not even raise an eyebrow.

It's so baffling to me though. Like, whyyyyyyy? The material isn't even difficult! It's the US Government, and we've theoretically been learning about it SINCE WE WERE BORN.
