DIRECTIONS:
* reply to this post with the word MEME whatever you like (as long as you clearly tell me you want to participate in the meme) and I will pick six of your icons.
* make a post (including this info) and talk about the icons I chose.

furiosity asked me about these:

This is Lt. Aiden Ford, a character from Stargate Atlantis. He was my favorite character. Then, in a plotline about how black people are violent, sex-crazed drug addicts, they forced him into an addiction to the Wraith enzyme (just, look, stuff these aliens secrete because they are VAMPIRE ALIENS), which made one of his eyes turn black, and also made him CRAZY. Then he set up camp on foreign worlds with a BROTHEL OF MANS (well, okay, THEORETICALLY they were hunting Wraiths, but they just sat around in bars and caves with all these chains and portions of their torsos artfully exposed, so I think we know better), and became known as CRAZY-EYE FORD. Well, known to me as that, at least. I rarely use this icon but I keep it around because I heart Ford a lot and I heart Crazy-Eye F
even more.
And no, the F is not on there because it is a fangirl icon for you,
furiosity, though you are free to think it is such. It does have some Slytherin green in there though, but Ford is way more Gryffindor-gone-wrong than anything.

This is a wampa holding a Jedi by the ankle. I believe the caption "oh snap" accurately describes what the Jedi must be thinking.

James McAvoy in a hat, in
Penelope, in an elevator. This scene was hotttttt. I like hats. Also? This was one of the icons from my brief "smudge the shit out of everything, EVERYTHING" phase. Good times. I use this icon on sexy posts or ominous posts. Or sometimes if I am particularly liking hats at the moment when I pick an icon.

This is an icon of Captain Jack Harkness and his Manly Yet Swishy walk. You see the little tendrils coming off his wrist and out of his coat? Those are to signify SWISHINESS. "End of Days" was the episode title and so I just stuck it on there because writing "Captain Jack" had looked stupid. I use this on Torchwood posts, posts about marching off to face your doom, or on anything that requires something that is manly yet swishy.

So one time I scanned in an entire magazine. I also really like Tiga's cover of the classic "Sunglasses at Night." This was the natural result. I use it when I am trying to be cool or when I'm ironically trying to front coolness on an especially uncool comment.

Theoretically this is a quote from Oscar Wilde. I love Oscar Wilde a lot. Also I find this quote to be pretty true. Also also I entered this at an icontest for wordy icons but I was the only person who entered so I won. The icontest then closed down even though that had been its first challenge, making me the ALL TIME WINNER. trufax.
polarlucky asked about these:

Six and Baltar, yay! The words on it are lyrics to XTC's
You're the Wish You Are I Had, which is one of my ultimate Six/Gaius songs. Though usually I think the song is from Baltar's perspective, obviously the words are from Six's POV here. I really like the way this icon turned out.

From
Pineapple Express, when Saul asks Dale if they're "BFFFs, best fucking friends forever." Shortly before
this hilarious scene of jail-freeing, which made me laugh so hard I cried A LOT. But then, I did that at
basically the whole thing.

GOD PEER PRESSURE OKAY. BLAME EVERYONE BUT ME. I AM NOT AT FAULT. Well, okay, I was going to just go for the original by
illuminations but whenever I looked at it I thought "what if the tongue waggled, lol it would be even filthier/more hilarious" and so I set about animating it, which took all of thirty seconds. Fellow people I can name offhand with this icon (counting the non-animated original) include
longleggedgit,
illuminations,
cmere,
furiosity,
shouldknobetter,
kerryblaze, and probably many others I do not know as they build up their tongue army. Sometimes you will find comment threads where EVERYONE commenting is using ONLY THE TONGUE HERO ICON, and it is the most hilarious thing in the world. Also apparently somebody passed out buttons of it at some convention that I did not go to.

So Dawkins was on
Doctor Who last season, commenting on how the Earth had been snatched from the solar system and moved to some other crazy place (as part of a Dalek plot to something something who the fuck knows, crazy Daleks). He never actually SAID "where is your god now" but you KNOW he was THINKING IT. I find this icon continually hilarious, and use it when talking about atheism or science or funny shenanigans where the "oh snap" icon doesn't work.

Cylons ♥ ♥ ♥!! This icon doesn't have much personality so I have few opportunities to use it. But I keep it around because I like the goddamn toasters. They're cute. Like big shiny homicidal puppies. But ever since I put it in my userpics it's been one of the first I look at when I'm thinking of culling some. Poor endangered cylon icon. :(

Angela from
Bones giving the thumbs up. She was actually giving TWO thumbs up in the cap but I colored over the other arm because it looked even goofier. I use this icon whenever I approve of something. It's not the most creative or anything, but it expresses badass/awesome approval pretty well, I think, and for that reason is one of the ones I use most.
kandigurl asked about these icons:

This is my default icon currently because it's the only black and white Star wars icon I have. It is Wedge Antilles in his home environment (an X-Wing). Wedge is one of my favorites. He's the only pilot to survive both Death Star runs, and in the EU becomes the leader of Rogue Squadron and the most kickass character EVER. The tag for this icon is "impossible is our stock in trade" because that's a quote about Rogue Squadron, and then the comment is "Antilles is so good he couldn't fail when he tried to," which is something from some SW EU books I haven't read in several years but I think the gist of it was that General Antilles was setting up a battle that they were supposed to lose because it would distract their enemy from whatever they were trying to do, but then he accidentally won and was just like, "oh, fuck, THAT wasn't what I meant to do." Which is very Wedge-like. He's just THAT AWESOME. I am pretty sure the only other person on my friendslist who has read the SW EU X-Wing books (where his awesomeness is displayed) is
wook77, but oh well. THEY'RE AWESOME.

Umm, a dude in an awesome jacket. I SERIOUSLY COVET THIS JACKET. This was a runway picture so I put a bunch of green circles in the background because I like green a lot.

hahahha Kira Nerys from Deep Space Nine is one badass motherfucker, and I needed an icon to commemorate that. Her pose in this icon was so BAMF-looking that I made it be this one instead of one with a gun. I love the way O'Brien is just looking at her like "O RLY?" This cap was taken from my seasons 1-4 "wow, O'Brien and Kira sure do look coupley" capspree.
THE GODDAMN BATMAN!!! Because, just,
goddamn. Thanks to Frank Miller for his stunning dialogue that will live in infamy.

This is Teyla from SGA. She beats people with sticks a lot, and that part was creatively cropped out. The original version of this icon I made (in like 2005 or 2006) was a lot yellower and this past summer I revamped it to look more current. I really like it a lot even though I can't explain why.

CAMERON FROM TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES. SHE IS AWESOME. WAY AWESOME. For the longest time I've wanted an icon of her that said "robot girl, you're my everything," for reasons unknown to me, and I finally stuck that text on here. It looks a little awkward, but OH WELL. Robot girl ♥♥♥. I also like how unapologetically
yellow I made this icon. lol.
