Why is Dean's skin so pink in the sunlight? STRANGE. It makes me want to give him some sunscreen.

Oh, John, that van, no. Thank god Dean was there to set him straight. Which means THE IMPALA HAS BEEN DEAN'S BABY SINCE BEFORE DEAN EVEN EXISTED. Nice one, Show, nice one.

Yeah, my theory is totally that Castiel sent Dean back in time to stop John from buying that uglyass van/bus VW whatever thing.

And of course they had to put Dean in like the most humiliating car in existence.

Dean: "Mom is a babe. I'm going to hell. Again."

DEAN WAS NAME AFTER THE MOM, OMG I THINK THIS MEANS DEAN = MOM IS PRACTICALLY CANON.

Dean: "What about the rest of the town? Did you find anything on the web? ... ... of information that you have assembled!"

Um, okay, from there on out the episode just got insane and I stopped pausing to comment.

Dean watching his namesake die was so tragic. Okay, basically everything about this episode was tragic. And the look he gave Mary at the end? Oh god. It was the perfect balance of "god damn you, this is all your fault" and "I did much the same, once." And the look she gave him just clearly said "I had to." And Dean is more like Mary than he ever knew, and John didn't know either so he couldn't point it out to him. Oh, Winchesters. My hearts breaks.

Okay also I really liked that Mary wasn't just a female hunter, but seemed to be a good hunter. Fandom: I hope you write lots of fic about Mary's badassery. It is your duty.
