fic commenting.

I've been leaving the most retarded comments on fics I've read lately. I mean, okay, on the one hand, at least I'm leaving comments, right? But on the other hand, WHY DO I SUDDENLY HAVE AN OBSESSION WITH HEARTS? I have seriously left comments that looked like this:

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
lovely!

with no other commentary. a;khag;kfal I HATE MYSELF SO MUCH FOR HAVING NOTHING CONSTRUCTIVE TO SAY AND THEN CONVEYING THAT THROUGH HEARTS. It's like my brain just won't turn on anymore. help!

yes i am totally using the jack bristow icon on this post about hearts. shut up, you knooooooow whenever jack IMed with irina he signed off like this "bye, <3 jack" and she rolled her eyes at the monitor before stomping away and he hoped that he'd logged off just as she was in the middle of typing "ttyl <3" back to him, but he wouldn't want to stay online to find out if it was that or just "bye." aww, spyparents.

Jack is so laaaaame for Irina. It's one of my favorite things about the show, how as much as he SAYS "don't fall for her bullshit," he does it himself time and again.

I always thought people left comments like that because they actually didn't like the fic but for some reason were obligated to comment. Oh.

He's from Titanic, right?

If I don't like the fic, I just don't comment. I can't imagine anyone else having any other reaction, lol.

And the actor was in Titanic but I was talking about his character in Alias. Which I kind of can't believe you haven't seen, though I'm not sure if the spies-running-around-in-wigs-and-costumes bit would appeal to you as much as it does to me. But. But. SPIES! RUNNING AROUND IN WIGS AND COSTUMES A LOT! Discounting Star Trek, it is my first big tv show love.

Me too 90% of the time, but there are some occasions when I feel obliged to say SOMETHING.

I saw one ep of that. It seemed like a show where everything had to turn out fine in the end, which ... doesn't do much for me? like, does Jack Bauer ever NOT save the world in 24 hours?

Whenever I watch Alias, I feel like it's an angstathon. Things turn out fine re: saving the world, but all the interpersonal relationships get all fucked up. Like, Dixon's wife gets blown up because someone was targeting him, Sydney loves Vaughn and he loves her but she goes missing and he MARRIES ANOTHER WOMAN like RIGHT AWAY, Sydney's mom constantly manipulates Syd to advance her own evil agenda, etc, etc. SUPERANGST ALL THE TIME, coupled with fun running around in wigs and costumes and saving the world.

I don't even know what you're talking about in the last part but it made me laugh. :)

You never watched Alias!? What!? REVISE THY NETFLIX LIST INSTANTLY TO PUT IT AT THE TOP!

I'm pretty sure we have it on DVD at the house! Perhaps I'll borrow it!

The show is SO much fun. I think you'd probably like it. The later seasons aren't as great as the first two (they suffer from the J.J. Abrams "oh shit, where was I going with this plot? let's just throw in confusing stuff and hope people think it's Significant" syndrome) but are still very enjoyable. It's spies! Running around! Kicking ass! In outrageous costumes! What's not to love?
