In the context of "NSW, Australia," NSW stands for New South Wales.
I totally thought it meant "Not Safe for Work" and that all you Australian slashers were warning people about NC17 content. And placing the warning in your location rather than bio, for reasons which I assumed had something to do with being insane Australians.
This is very similar to the time I suddenly realized that Clearly Canadians come from CANADA. (No shit. I looked on the bottle and it said "Made in Canada" and I was like WTF OMG CANADA!?!?!)
The really sad thing about this is that I have a world map and a US map hanging on the wall in front of my computer, and Australia is just about seven inches to the left of straight ahead, so it's ridiculously easy to spot. And it says "NEW SOUTH WALES" in kind of large letters.
And, hey, the US state abbreviations are hard to get. There are 50 of them, after all. I'm never sure that I'm just not making them up.
