So, having watched yet ANOTHER show in which the undead can't give CPR because they don't breathe... I have to ask this: IF THEY CANNOT BREATHE, HOW CAN THEY SPEAK?

Really. I want to know.

what's this Earth Logic I keep hearing about?

I like swallowing and breathing at the same time!

But that action is Not Recommended by the Handbook for the Caring and Keeping of Your New Human! There may be Serious Consequences!

I have never seen one show where an undead tried and failed to perform CPR. Which is more about pumping the chest anyway. What am I missing in my life?

Buffy, Torchwood, and vampire shows/movies in general, apparently.

I thought it might be uncharitable to point out the chest compressions thing when I was already bitching about how obviously they were already breathing. AND at least one of the characters who got all angsty about how he couldn't save someone because he couldn't "give them his breath" was a doctor (I KID YOU NOT), at which point I just laughed and laughed. And contemplated the need for all writers to have science consultants or, at the very least, wikipedia.
