I know! It's ALL OVER Oz news. We've got saturation point, much like what happened when Steve Irwin died. I still can't quite believe it - such a cliche but...

My roommate is Australian and she was all "But he's from Australia! HE CANNOT DIE!" and then she pinned the Australian flag to our "A Knight's Tale" poster. Because that's how we roll.

What I find funny is how all the "serious" news outlets on television (except C-SPAN, most serious of them all) are wall-to-wall Heath coverage.

Stunning and tragic and utterly unexpected. I have seen very little of his work but I found that his death touched me in a profound, sad way.

I really liked his movies. He was also my second celeb crush as a tween, right after Harrison Ford (in Star Wars and Indiana Jones, obvs).

This is a ridiculous quote I heard on the news earlier today:
news person: "So if he committed suicide, why do you think he would have done it? Can you give us any insight into what reasons would he have had?"
supposed 'expert' on something-or-other: "I don't know. He was a really hot actor."
me: *facepalm*
