Spoilers for BSG 3x17 Maelstrom:
WHAT THE HOLY FRACK. I AM NOT REALLY UNDERSTANDING WHAT HAPPENED.
I am also refusing to believe that the 'buck is dead. She can't be. She's the passion of Battlestar Galactica, so she can't be gone. Wah.
I DO NOT EVEN CARE IF SHE IS A CYLON.
Besides, I would give
anything to have an episode about 20 Starbucks all competing to see who's the best pilot and then trying to drink each other under the table. I would kill to see that episode.
Also, PILOTS, HEE! Makes my shipper heart happy. Kara going all "Is this all we're going to be?" and Lee like, "I am cleverly being silent and not answering your question because I just said I was happy with Dee and I don't want to look all contradictory and say NO I HOPE NOT LET'S FRAK RIGHT NOW OH GOD KARA I LOVE YOU." Which was so totally what he was thinking, of course.
Also also, I cried. Kara! Next to Kat on the wall! Oh!
And, okay, was it just me or was she just flat-out hallucinating during much of the episode (even the normal scenes)? I mean, the whole "what do you hear?" "nothing but the rain" exchange was repeated verbatim from whatever episode it was initially in, and there were several other pseudo-conversations like that. I watched this one when it actually aired (first time ever!) so I'll have to watch it again to figure this stuff out, I guess.
You raise an excellent point here: I mean, the whole "what do you hear?" "nothing but the rain" exchange was repeated verbatim from whatever episode it was initially in, and there were several other pseudo-conversations like that.
I caught the rain convo, but didn't connect it to the other bits. The one that stood out most strongly to me was the scene between Kara and her mom when her mom said "I don't want your pity" and Kara replied "you haven't got it." Almost verbatim from Scar. I'm sure it was intentional, and I have no idea what the writers mean by it, but what a great device.
