Well, yes, but no one DIES of bad fic. Except metaphorically, of course. I metaphorically die of bad fic ALL THE TIME.

But you must admit the "Draco sat a few rows back, across the isle" line is good (for a certain value of "good," at any rate). I'm totally writing something one day where everyone is on a VERY SMALL ISLAND because I'm sure there are other amusingly tragic things that could happen.
