Voldemort Hath No Fury Like Angry Harry Potter Fans

The thing that I love most about this article is how Steve Sansweet pops up near the end to go "STFU n00bs, try being Star Wars."

1. How many songs are on your ipod? Sir Percival is sadly, sadly missing his charger and thus not really working at the moment! I have been ONE YEAR AND A HALF without remembering to get a new charger, which is LAME of me. But Sir Percival is 40 GB (oldschool!) and was full, so... idk, 7000-8000 songs?

2. What do you do before bedtime? heh heh heh.

Uh, okay, usually I study, watch an episode of whatever tv show I'm into atm, wash my face/brush my teeth, and then snuggle down into bed with my feet hanging off the end.

3. What magazines do you have subscriptions to? The New Yorker, Interview, Architectural Digest.

4. What is your favorite scent? Vanilla! Or the smell just before it rains, you know what I mean? idk what it IS exactly, but I love it.

5. If you had a million dollars that you could spend only on yourself, what would you do with it? Finish paying for college, and split the rest between savings and investment. Probably also spend like $5000 on random entertainment needs, such as all the seasons of Star Trek EVER.

6. What is your theme song? idk, probably something painfully indie and hip. Or else by David Bowie or Michael Jackson. OR ELSE THE JET SONG FROM WEST SIDE STORY.

7. Do you trust easily? No. Not at all. People THINK I do, but that's just because I have a very open sense of... openness. YEAH WHATEVER, what I'm trying to say is that I talk a lot about myself and about things that other people would regard as "personal," which makes me seem very trusting, but the deal is that I don't actually regard those things as personal/private, otherwise I wouldn't share them. I also use openness as a policy because if you put the truth out there, it's more difficult for people to hurt you with it. So it's partially because I DON'T trust people that I'm so open with them... which sounds backwards but has worked pretty well.

8. Do you generally think before you act or act before you think? Uh. Both? I mean, usually I overthink before I act, but sometimes I just leap into things without thinking much and then muddle through along the way. Neither way seems to work better than the other.

9. Is there anything that makes you unhappy these days? McCain's face, having to live at home and drive to school for another week until the internet in my apartment gets fixed (MY GOD, HOW WOULD I KNOW MY HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS WITHOUT INTERNET?), sad lack of chocolate ice cream in the freezer.

10. Do you have a good body image? Yes, mostly. Like, right now I'm out of shape and I know it, but it doesn't really show as long as I've got clothes on, and probably even if I don't. I mean, I go through phases where I don't think I'm all that attractive (especially compared to all the tall, tan, blonde, and ridiculously slender and toned girls at school) but then some guy with keyboard-smash-worthy levels of hot will ask me out and I'll figure I MUST look pretty good in order for him to bother.

11. Is being tagged fun? No one on my flist tags people, so I wouldn't know.

12. What websites do you visit daily? International Herald Tribune, Talking Points Memo, Andrew Sullivan, Wonkette, Slate, Schneier on Security, all my various emails, LJ, Amazon, Wikipedia.

13. What have you been addicted to lately? HEROIN uh, tv-on-dvd. It's such a timesucker but I can't kick the habit. I mean. TV. ON DVD. WHOEVER FIRST SAID "HEY, WE COULD PACK AN ENTIRE SEASON INTO A LITTLE BOX AND SELL IT FOR THIRTY BUCKS" WAS A GENIUS.

14.What kind of person do you think is the person who tagged you? Not tagged, but I snagged this from [livejournal.com profile] furiosity and [livejournal.com profile] opaleyes, who are both awesome. [livejournal.com profile] opaleyes reminds me SO MUCH of Naomi (NAOMI: WHAT LJ NAME AM I SUPPOSED TO BE LINKING TO FOR YOU? YOU SHOULD USE YOUR FANNISH JOURNAL AGAIN, WITH LJ-LOGIN IT'S EASY TO HAVE MULTIPLES haha i didn't mean any innuendos there) so I've been inclined to like her since I met her. [livejournal.com profile] furiosity intimidated me when I first started reading her lj but it turns out she's not actually very scary (UNLESS SHE TRIES TO BE), just very fun!

15. What's the last song that got stuck in your head? Journey - "Wheel in the Sky." I had never heard this song until about a year ago when TC and Bob made me listen to it (NAOMI: YOU SAT NEXT TO "BOB" AT MY BIRTHDAY... HE USED TO WRITE NOVEL-LENGTH HARRY/HERMIONE FANFIC WHICH HE REFUSES TO LET ME READ, AND HE GETS ALL OF HIS FIC FROM FANFICTION.NET). Now it is basically the ONLY song that ever gets stuck in my head... seriously, at least once a week! I hated it at first but now I've given in and just adore it.

16.What's your favorite item of clothing? I am going to have to go with the lime green cords that made an appearance at Portus. COME ON, GUYS, THEY'RE LIME GREEN CORDUROY PANTS, what's not to love? I also have pajamas that look like a pinstriped suit (EXCEPT FLANNEL) and those are pretty cool as well.

17. Do you think Rice Krispies are yummy? Um, if they're in Rice Krispie treats...

18. What would you do if you saw $100 lying on the ground? Uh, I doubt I'd actually notice it. That would be very out of character. I'd probably just shrug and leave it, because, well, that's what I do.

19. What items could you not go without during the day? Uh... food? Shelter? Clothing? Other than that, I COULD go without most everything. It'd be kind of boring, but that's why they invented daydreams.

20. What should you be doing right now? Homework, probably.

CanI just tell you a story about how awesome Steve Sansweet is?

I'm going to regardless of permission.

So I went to Star Wars Celebration III. Went to a bagel place, grabbed a breakfast and sat down at the only empty table. Along comes this dude in this AWESOME star wars varsity jacket. I have th eonly empty seat in the entire place so he asks to sit with me. I said sure. Complemented him on his jacket. We got to talking, he gave me his card and told me to call him or stop by and see his presentation. I looked and OMG IT WAS STEVE SANSWEET.

So then, I go to his presentation cause, hello, steve sansweet. Afterwards, he sees me and goes I didn't forget you! and gives me this really really reallyreally awesome baseball jersey sort of shirt that says "sith" on the back. Yeah. Omg. I've never worn it but I have had it since before you could buy it.

AWESOME STORY!

I admit I don't know much about Steve Sansweet other than "sometimes he gets really excited about totally boring presentations at cons" but this story makes me like him! STEVE SANSWEET: HE EATS BAGELS! HE ONCE GAVE WOOK A SHIRT!

(Also I made a new SW icon. IT IS LUKE SHOOTING AT THINGS. It is so colorful!)
